The Hundred Dresses is about little girl named Wanda and some other girls. There were two girls at school that would tease her. They would ask her how many dresses she had because they wanted to hear her talk about her dresses. Wanda would say, “I have a hundred dresses all lined up in my closet.” Any body could tell that was a lie. Wanda only had one dress. Wanda had no mother.

At the end of the book Wanda moves away. Wanda is very good at drawing. Even though the two girls teased her, Wanda gave the two girls some pictures of her drawings for Christmas.

I really liked this book because it is about girls. I felt sad for Wanda because she didn’t have a mother. I think my little sister will like this book when she grows up.

I am thankful that I have a mother.  Wanda had to iron her own clothes.  My mom does it for me.

Once there were five little girls .They had a brother too. His name was Charlie.

The oldest of the girls was named Ella. Next, there was Henrietta, but the family called her Henny. Next there was Sarah. Then then was Charlotte, and last, Gertie.

Ella had black hair and was very pretty. Henny had golden hair and was very mischievous. Sarah had golden hair also and when she was ten, she got her ears pierced. Charlotte was very kind to Gertie. She read books to Gertie. Gertie liked to play with Charlotte.

I liked the book All of a kind Family Downtown because the family was kind to each other and because it has girl stuff in it.

Once there was a little boy named Almonzo.  He had one brother and two sisters.  One sister was named Alice and the other was Eliza Jane.  His brother’s name was Royal.

Almonzo wanted a colt very much, but he was too young to have one.  Almonzo had two little oxen. For his birthday he got a yoke for his oxen.  Almonzo taught them left and right by saying “Gee!” and “Haw!”

Almonzo also knew how to milk cows.  It was his job to milk the easy milkers.

Once Almonzo’s parents went on a trip ten miles away.  While they were gone, Almonzo threw a paintbrush at his sister, Eliza Jane.  Almonzo did not want his parents to see the black mark on the wallpaper where he had thrown the paintbrush.  Eliza Jane did something very nice for him.  She found another piece of wallpaper in the attic and covered up the black mark.

When the parents were away the Wilder kids made some candy.  Almonzo fed some to his pig.  The candy got stuck in the pig’s mouth and it was very, very funny.

There were lots of other fun things the Wilder Family did.

If you ever see this see this book in a store, you should buy it.  I think my brother Stephen will really like this book because it has a lot of boy stuff in it, but I liked it too.
